Mu Sigma Phi Sorority held Bakunadong Bayani last Sept. 21, from 7 am to 3 pm, in the second-floor hallway in front of the PGH Burn Unit as part of their Mu Week Celebrations.

Through the flagship project ImMUnity: An Ounce of Prevention, the event aims to protect frontliners against vaccine-preventable diseases primarily through vaccine donation and administration. With assistance from UP Health Service (UPHS) and some of the sorority’s Alumni sisters, UP Manila students and PGH employees received free 500 Influenza and 100 Hepatitis B vaccines. Interested individuals for the Hepatitis B vaccines only needed to present their UPM or PGH ID and Anti-HBS titer results as the requirements.

Aside from UPHS, the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination also supported the event by donating 500 vaccines.

Bakunadong Bayani exemplifies one of the several practices Mu Sigma Phi Sorority employs to embody one of its pillars: service.
